How can i find accommodation in Guangzhou China?

I would like to contact some electronic accessories producer in Guangzhou and stay in China while i'm preparing for collaboration.Is there any safe not expensive accommodation and should i have some special permission to dwell for cupple of weeks

4. contact a travel agency in HK or Guangzhou, they can help... If you don't speak Chinese at all, go to the famous hotels such as Garden Hotel or the White Swan Hotel~
5. It all depends as the other answers said on ur knowledge of the language and what is ur budget. If u can give a clear budget people can recommend places to you. Here you have the choice from a small apartment to 5 star hotels. And also u need a visa to say here and make sure u leave on or before it expires as l have seen people in trouble just for 1 day expiry. I am also a foreigner here and working.
6. wow what good answers, if you go to the white swan hotel, you will be near the u.s. embassy. and there are more caucasian people there than anywhere in guangzhou. and more people that speak english than anywhere i went in guangzhou. it is a 5 star hotel and is quite nice. once again, a chinese interpreter would be a necessity for traveling in china. also many americans who adopt chinese babies stay at that hotel, so you'll probably see a lot of americans there.
